Colorado Woman gets Into Car Accident After Driver Runs a Stop Sign, Then a Cyclist Calls Her Out for Her Wrecked Car Being in the Cycle Lane

A Colorado woman claims that a cyclist complained to her after she got into a car crash resulting in her wrecked car blocking the cycle lane. The woman took to TikTok and ranted about her ordeal, claiming that cyclists are the worst.
TikToker Katarina explained that she had been driving in downtown Denver when another driver ran a stop sign and T-boned her car in what sounds like quite a serious crash. While Katarina says that she was fine she states her car was not.
Immediately after such a crash it’s normal for a driver to be shaken up, after all, a car crash is no laughing matter and to walk away unharmed is pure luck more than anything else. However, despite her near death experience Katarina wasn’t about to get any sympathy from a passing cyclist who, upon seeing the wrecked car and a woman who’s just survived a car crash, decided to tell her she needs to move her car out of the cycle lane.
Talk about an inappropriate response to a car crash! Obviously anyone blocking the cycle lane under normal circumstances absolutely deserves a few stern words but perhaps this cyclist needs to learn to read the room. There is a time and a place for everything and to call someone out for where they’ve left their vehicle immediately after a pretty bad crash is not the time.
People on TikTok share their thoughts on cyclists
Katarina labeled cyclists as “the worst people to exist,” which might be a bit harsh but understandable given the situation she was in. She claimed the cyclist’s comment was “right after I got hit,” stating the cyclist didn’t even ask if she was okay. “Zero regard for people being ok, only worried about their precious bike lane ARE WE SERIOUS RUGHT [sic] NOW,” she wrote in the caption.
Commenters on TikTok were quick to jump on the bandwagon, venting out their frustration with cyclists “I’m way to [sic] self aware to ever be a cyclist,” wrote one person. Another comment claims “cyclists just alternate between vehicle and pedestrian right of way as it benefits them.” “I really enjoy cycling.” A third added, “But I’ll ride a bike all over. I don’t so that people don’t assume I am this way.”
Unfortunately it seems that cyclists like the one that Katarina encountered have given the rest a bad name. Despite it all, she seems to be in good spirits. In another video posted the day after the accident Katarina claimed to feel sore all over although she wasn’t sure if it was due to the accident or the hike she’d been on prior to the crash.
