Woman Casts a Love Binding Spell on Her Boyfriend. It Worked at a Price: 'I Will Come for You When I'm Ready'

Some people will do everything for love, even if it isn’t meant to be. Ashlee (@ashleeinc) on TikTok read a submission reportedly from a woman named Shay. This piece includes what “Shay” recounts as the aftermath of her casting a spell on her boyfriend.

In her early 20s, Shay allegedly cast a love-binding spell on her boyfriend in a desperate bid to make him stay. She didn’t know that the ritual may have come at a cost, and now, something is waiting to collect.

Shay and her boyfriend had a child during her early 20s. Because she had another child in a previous relationship, his family expressed disapproval of her. They encouraged Shay’s boyfriend to be a good father, but not to settle down with her. Heeding his family’s advice, he would go into an on-and-off relationship with her, saying that he was still “too young to be tied down.”

It became a tumultuous relationship, and Shay was heartbroken. One day, he left their apartment to breakup with her to stay with his family. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence at this point, but Shay was still devastated by the event. She called her sister to stay over because she wanted someone to vent to.

A deal she couldn’t refuse

Sadie, her sister, said that she knew how to do a love-binding spell. Shay said that her sister had always been “into spellwork and the occult.” She didn’t specifically say what kind of occultism Sadie practiced, but nevertheless, her sister was knowledgeable.

Sadie explained that her own boyfriend was moving across the country to Utah. She feared that her boyfriend wouldn’t be interested in a long-distance relationship and would ultimately break up with her.

Shay, unlike her sister, didn’t dabble in these practices. But in desperation, she asked Sadie about what a love-binding spell is and what it does.

“It makes it impossible for him to leave you. Even if his family says that he shouldn’t be tied down, he won’t listen. He’ll love you, ultimately, forever,” Sadie told Shay. “If you want, I can show you how to do it. And we can do it together.”

Shay was reluctant at first, but she came to the conclusion that she was willing to try just to keep him.

Sadie instructed her to print a photo of Shay’s boyfriend. She did the same with hers. On the back of the photos, they wrote, “I bind you, to me, to life and forever. You will see no interest in anyone else but me until the day you die.”

Then, they took strands of their hair and used them to bind the photos into a roll. While they did this, they repeated the phrase they had written on the photos. The sisters sat down and chanted for hours, and during this time, Shay recalled feeling like she was in a trance-like state. After some time, the sisters took a candle and sealed the edges of the photo with the wax so that the words could not “escape.”

They dug a hole, buried the photos, and repeated the phrase one last time.

It worked, but at what cost?

After a few days, Shay’s boyfriend came back to their apartment. He apologized and started standing up to his family for Shay. He rarely left home and would only do so for work—by all respects, it looks like the spell worked.

But one night, she fell asleep and felt a presence in the corner of their shared room. Shay tried to turn but couldn’t move or speak. All she could move were her eyes, and when she glanced at the corner, a dark figure stood.

It had a goat head and horns. The creature started moving across the room to her side of the bed. When she’d locked eyes with the entity, she couldn’t even blink.

“I will come for you when I’m ready,” the creature spoke. Shay could only hear it through her mind, as though it were speaking to her telepathically. It also told her that she belongs to him now, amidst other words that she couldn’t quite make up.

Through her strength, Shay was able to struggle hard enough to awaken from the dream. She knew deep in her heart that it wasn’t just a bad dream—knowing what she’d done with her sister, Shay assumed the worst.

Shay called her sister to tell her about the disturbing dream, but Sadie brushed it off.

“Yeah, I get those dreams all the time. You’ll get used to it,” she told Shay. Perhaps she agreed to the spell far too easily.

Asking TikTok for help to undo the spell

It’s been 18 years since that ritual, and Shay believes that she sold part of her soul to the unknown entity that came to visit her that one night. Her boyfriend is still with her—she had another child with him, and he takes great care of their family.

But she feels that she still owes a debt and that the creature that stood in the corner of the room is waiting to collect it. Two years ago, Shay said that Sadie died at the age of 33 because of a heart attack. She said her sister was active and had no history of illness, making the nature of her death odd.

Shay couldn’t help but feel that her sister’s death may be connected to the goat-headed creature she saw to collect a debt. Since Sadie’s death, Shay has been getting auditory hallucinations of a man’s voice, telling her that he loves her—and it often happens while she’s alone.

“If anyone made it this far and did hear my story out, all I want to know is, how do I break what I did?” This was a question Shay left for TikTok viewers in hopes of finding a solution to her eerie situation. Perhaps WitchTok can come through if she’s lucky.
