‘I have never served before’: Colorado woman gets hired at Twin Peaks. Then she shows up for training

Starting a new job can be a daunting, yet exciting endeavor. Typically, you never know what to expect until you step foot behind the scenes. So, one woman pulls the curtain to reveal what it entailed during the first day of her training at Twin Peaks.
“I just finished day one of training at Twin Peaks,” Colorado-based Twin Peaks server Maddi starts the video, presumably after the session. “I had a lot of fun. The girls are super nice, management was super nice. I’ve never served before so this is a very new experience for me.”
From there, she spills the details.

While the business heavily emphasizes appearances, there’s also a great deal of memorization.
“The first three hours were just me filling out this big book,” the content creator says. “I had to rewrite all of the appetizers, the sides, and the salads.”
However, this procedure continues after the first day.
“Then, I’m gonna do the same thing next week with the entrees, I think the kids menu and the desserts,” Maddi shares. “I’m gonna have to do the same thing with all the drinks and beverages.”
Next, Maddi moves on to uniform requirements.
“This is my jewelry,” the server says, unveiling the star-patterned bracelet, necklace, and several earrings. “We have to wear jewelry.”
Afterward, she reveals the darker marks on her skin. “I have to remove this spray tan,” Maddi says. Lastly, she reveals her long, fake white nails.
“These nails, I just did the press-in nails last night,” she states. “I’ve never done them before but I hope they hold up.”
“Anyways, that’s all,” she concludes.
What Did Viewers Say?
Maddi’s video earned over 7,700 views since Apr. 30, with others sharing how they landed a job at Twin Peaks.
“I just had my interview today. I got the job,” one viewer shared. “I’m soo excited to start. I’ve never served either.”
Another echoed, “I’m starting today.”
“My first day of training is mondayyyy. im so excited,” a third revealed.
Twin Peaks Girl Requirements
There’s no doubt that an establishment that caters to the male gaze has strict attire regulations. After all, it’s infamously known as a breastaurant. Therefore, “Twin Peaks Girls’ are expected to adhere to a specific dress code: form-fitting plaid shirts, short bottoms, a polished appearance, makeup done, hair styled, nails cleaned, Twin Peaks-approved accessories. Essentially, they must be ‘camera-ready’ at all times to pose for pictures with customers.
Furthermore, these women must also have a certain demeanor and personality that reflects the restaurant’s vibe. This entails being friendly, energetic, and outgoing to ensure they “bring a one-of-a-kind experience to every guest, every time.” As long as a female applicant is 18 years old and meets these criteria, they may have a shot at being a Twin Peaks Girl, even without prior serving experience.
What Is It Like Working There?
As with any serving position, applicants are drawn in by the massive tips. However, the tradeoff can destroy self-esteem and mental health. According to Mashed, servers are scrutinized before every shift and ranked through a hierarchy. The server deemed the prettiest reap the benefits, like not closing and choosing sections. In addition, weight gain is a no-no, punishable by probation and possibly termination. Of course, the patrons can also pose an issue, where some typically harass and make unwanted advances. For example, The Mary Sue covered a server who had a customer allegedly secretly snap photos of her behind.
On the flip side, there are some positives. The outlet notes servers enjoy the lucrative tips with the short list of responsibilities, such as serving and taking orders, delivering food, and keeping clients happy, flexible schedules, and bonds that last a lifetime. Overall, every Twin Peaks Girl’s experience is unique to them.
