‘LIE, LIE, LIE, AND LIE AGAIN’: Trump melts down over Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich after she let a Democrat call him an Epstein enabler on live TV

Propaganda arm malfunction.

Donald Trump went after Fox News host Jacqui Heinrich by name in a furious Truth Social post early on May 10, 2026, slamming her for letting a Democrat call him an Epstein enabler during a live interview. The President spent Mother’s Day rage-posting and targeting Heinrich after she hosted California Democrat Ro Khanna, who he accused of lying consistently. Khanna didn’t hold back, hitting Trump where it hurts, namely his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and the economy.

According to The Daily Beast, Khanna kicked off the interview by blaming Trump for rising gas and food prices, then dropped the Epstein bomb. “People don’t like the fact that we’re in a war in Iran, that the Trump administration hasn’t released the Epstein files,” he said. As the primary sponsor of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Khanna has been pushing for the release of those documents, which have been a thorn in Trump’s side for years.

But Khanna didn’t stop there. He pivoted to trade, calling out Trump for letting Chinese steel flood U.S. ports. “When I was in Cleveland, at the Port of Cleveland, I was horrified to see Chinese steel there,” Khanna told Heinrich. “Why aren’t we getting that from Cleveland-Cliffs or an American steel company?”

Khanna pressed Trump to crack down on China

He argued that subsidized foreign steel was undermining American workers. Heinrich asked if this was a bipartisan issue, and Khanna doubled down: “We want to have steel be American steel, not be importing Chinese steel, and we don’t want China playing unfairly.”

That set Trump off. Seven hours after the segment, he fired off on Truth Social calling Khanna “SCUM” and accusing Fox of destroying its own credibility by platforming “professional Liars, Conmen, and Liberal, Crooked Politicians.” He went even further, claiming that “MAGA Republicans, who are actually close to 100% of the Party, hate Fox” because of moments like this. It’s a wild claim, especially since Fox has long been the go-to network for Trump’s base.

Two hours earlier, Trump had already posted about the Khanna segment, though he didn’t name Heinrich at first. “[Khanna] should not be allowed on FoxNews unless you have an ‘anchor’ who is capable of disputing his lies, one after another, and closing down his FAKE (Bulls—!) narrative,” he wrote. Trump insisted it was his policies, not the Democrats’, that revived the steel industry, bragging about “strong” tariffs that supposedly brought manufacturing back to the U.S.

Heinrich, 37, has been with Fox News since 2018 and currently serves as a senior White House correspondent. She also co-hosts The Sunday Briefing and The Fox News Rundown podcast. Her personal life has made headlines too. She’s engaged to Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor. The couple got engaged in June last year, and Fitzpatrick has been vocal about his support for her career.

During the chaotic White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 25, when gunfire erupted outside the venue, Fitzpatrick was seated on the floor while Heinrich was at the head table with Vice President J.D. Vance. He later said he tried to reach her but was told by the Secret Service that she was safe.

Trump’s post didn’t just stop at Heinrich and Khanna

He went on a broader rant about Fox’s lineup, calling out other figures he dislikes. “Why would Fox put SCUM like this on, or others, such as Low Rated Bill Maher, who gains ‘credibility’ by constant referral to him as though he were a Liberal source of ‘Wisdom,’ or very Low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, who considers the Supreme Court ‘illegitimate,’ and probably hates our Country,” he wrote.

The timing of Trump’s meltdown is interesting. He posted at 3:43 a.m., long after most people had gone to bed, but right in the middle of his usual late-night Truth Social sprees. The post racked up over 8,600 reTruths and nearly 38,000 likes in just a few hours. But the bigger question is whether his criticism will actually move the needle at Fox.

The network has a history of bending to Trump’s whims, but Heinrich is a well-respected journalist with deep ties to the GOP. Her fiancé is a Republican congressman, and she’s covered the White House for years. If Trump thinks he can bully her into submission, he might be in for a fight.

Khanna, for his part, seems to have hit a nerve

The Epstein Files Transparency Act was a direct shot at Trump, and the steel industry argument is a classic populist issue that resonates with voters in key states like Pennsylvania and Ohio. By letting Khanna lay out his case unchallenged, Heinrich gave him a platform to make his points and that’s what set Trump off. He wants Fox to be his megaphone, not a place where Democrats can air their grievances without pushback.

It’s not the first time Trump has gone after a female Fox host. He’s had public feuds with Megyn Kelly, Maria Bartiromo, and even his former ally Jeanine Pirro. But Heinrich is a different kind of target. She’s not a prime-time opinion host; she’s a straight news reporter, and her role is to ask tough questions, not take sides.

The bigger picture here is Trump’s growing frustration with Fox. For years, the network was his biggest cheerleader, but lately, it’s been more willing to platform his critics. That’s a problem for him, especially as he gears up for another election cycle.
