‘It’s funny because it’s true’: Jimmy Kimmel takes a dig at Stephen Miller, says he puts the ‘cist in white supremacist’

Jimmy Kimmel has never hesitated to mock Donald Trump or members of his administration; in fact, over the past few months, he has become one of their most outspoken critics. While some people really enjoy it, there is clearly another group who don’t like it that much, including Trump’s MAGA supporters.

Anyway, Jimmy Kimmel is at it again, doing what he does best. This time, his target is White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller. In a clip that is currently going viral on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel is seen discussing Miller, focusing on his appearance and beliefs.

Jimmy Kimmel takes a dig at Stephen Miller

As mentioned earlier, Jimmy Kimmel has been mocking Trump and his officials for quite some time now. His criticism has only grown stronger over time, especially since Trump started his second term as president last year. He has also faced significant pushback from Trump and his team, including threats and intimidation tactics, but that hasn’t silenced him, and he continues to speak out against them.

In a video circulating on X from a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel, in a sort of monologue directed at Stephen Miller, says, “Stephen Miller is so racist. The reason he went bald is because his hair was black. Stephen Miller puts the ‘cist’ in white supremacist. He’s like if baby Hitler traveled in time to kill us.” The short clip has taken the internet by storm, with many people praising Kimmel’s comedic timing, while others have expressed disapproval and called for its removal from all platforms.

Jimmy Kimmel brings up Melania Trump for wanting to fire him

Shortly after the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 25, 2026, where Trump and many from his Cabinet were targeted by the attacker Cole Tomas Allen, who was carrying a gun to the event, there were numerous discussions about what happened. Interestingly, the conversation shifted to Jimmy Kimmel and a skit he performed a few nights earlier on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! In that skit, he imagined himself as the comedian responsible for roasting the president and others, as was customary before Trump decided to change things up. In that skit, Kimmel joked about the age difference between Donald Trump and Melania Trump and referred to her “glow” as that of “an expectant widow.”

Not long after the incident, Melania Trump called for Jimmy Kimmel’s removal from his late-night show over that specific joke. So, it was only natural for Kimmel to come on his show and share his side of the story. Discussing his joke and how it was being blown out of proportion, Kimmel, in a video uploaded to the official YouTube page of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 28, 2026, said, “It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he’s almost 80 and she’s younger than I am. It was not by any stretch of the definition a call to assassination, and they know that I’ve been very vocal for many years, speaking out against gun violence in particular. But I understand that the first lady had a stressful experience over the weekend, and probably every weekend is pretty stressful in that house. And also, I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject. I do. And I think a great place to start to dial that back would be to have a conversation with your husband about it… I also should point out Donald Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants to say, as are you and as am I, as are all of us, because under the First Amendment, we have as Americans a right to free speech.”
