‘This man has the IQ of a garden gnome’: This Joe Rogan moment from his visit to the White House is going viral for all the right reasons

It takes very little for United States President Donald Trump to go viral on the internet, and he has been proving it repeatedly. Once again, Trump has become the talk of the town over something he recently did, but more so because of the reaction he received. So what exactly is it?

On April 18, 2026, while sitting in the Oval Office, Trump signed an executive order to expedite the FDA review of psychedelic drugs (such as psilocybin and ibogaine) used in treating PTSD among veterans, as well as other issues like depression and suicide prevention. During the event, along with some members of his administration, podcaster Joe Rogan was also present, as he was largely responsible for pushing the move forward. In front of everyone, Trump signed the order and then quickly started rambling about his “achievements,” most of which are probably unverified if you try to look them up. Among these claims, he mentioned that, earlier in a press conference, he said he was “the greatest there ever was.” While Trump may have thought he nailed it with that remark, it drew a laugh from Joe Rogan, not out of admiration but mockery.

Joe Rogan loses it over Trump’s comments about how “great” he is

One thing about President Donald Trump is that no matter the time or occasion, he will always find a way to talk highly of himself. He was doing the same on April 18, 2026, during the signing of the executive order to accelerate psychedelic drug reviews. Shortly after signing, Trump made it a point to indulge in some narcissistic bragging by highlighting the significant change he claimed to bring to medicine by lowering drug prices. He said he had cut drug prices to one-eighth of a percent, calling it an exemplary feat that had never been achieved before.

As mentioned earlier, while discussing how “great” he was, Trump said that during an earlier press conference, he had declared himself the “greatest there ever was.” This, as noted before, caused Joe Rogan to laugh, mocking the boast. Others behind Trump also laughed in unison, but it’s unclear why exactly they found it funny.

Joe Rogan has increased his criticism of Donald Trump over the past few months

Since Trump began his second term last year, Joe Rogan, who supported him during the 2024 election campaign, has been critical of many of his policies.

While Trump was cracking down on immigration with ICE, Rogan was among many suggesting there were better, less violent ways to handle the issue. Rogan also notably questioned the Department of Justice and Trump’s administration over their handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, criticizing their failure to properly investigate and bring justice for Epstein’s victims. Recently, Rogan has been very vocal about the US’s war efforts in Iran, condemning them like many other Americans who believe those actions don’t align with the “America first” policies Trump promised during his campaign.
