‘Trump and his criminal crew must be indicted’: A journalist debunked JD Vance’s peacemaker identity, making him look worse than he already did

Political commentator and journalist Ana Kasparian has never been one to mince words when it comes to speaking the truth, and she is doing so once again, going pretty viral on the internet for it. In a social media video, including on X (formerly Twitter), Kasparian is seen discussing JD Vance and drawing parallels between him and Donald Trump, concluding that they aren’t much different in terms of their ideologies and the messages they promote.

In the clip, Ana Kasparian makes this judgment in the context of a speech by JD Vance, where he is essentially adding fuel to the fire already started by Trump. In his speech, Vance agreed with Trump over wiping out the entire Iranian civilization if they didn’t agree with the terms laid out by the United States.

JD Vance is not the proponent of peace everyone thinks he is

Before Donald Trump became president of the United States for a second term last year, his campaign a year earlier focused heavily on delivering on “America-first” policies. One of the main promises under this banner was that he would put an end to future foreign wars the U.S. could become involved in. Vice President JD Vance, who also campaigned for Trump at the time, assured MAGA supporters and others that foreign wars were not even on their agenda once in power. However, a year has passed, and much has changed, including Vance’s stance on foreign conflicts.

‘It’s clear that Trump’s position on foreign wars shifted some time ago, as evidenced by his actions regarding Venezuela and Iran. As for Vance, his stance has also evolved. Journalist Ana Kasparian pointed out this shift in a recent episode of The Young Turks. She mentioned that Vance is essentially backing Trump’s approach to Iran, threatening to take strong action if Iran doesn’t negotiate on U.S. terms, and she showed a video of Vance as proof of her claims. At the end of the clip, Kasparian warned that people shouldn’t be “fooled” by Vance’s peace-loving facade or believe he’s genuinely a supporter of peace.

What did Trump say about Iran and its people that tipped many people off?

Many Americans have strongly condemned President Donald Trump’s actions since he took office, and over time, his critics have only increased. Recently, one concern that has upset many is Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran by teaming up with Israel, which has now led to an full blown conflict among the three nations. Iran has responded by closing the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting trade and raising gas and oil prices, among other issues.

With tensions already high, Trump, in frustration, openly threatened to destroy Iranian civilization if they did not surrender and open the Strait of Hormuz. In an angry post on Truth Social on April 7, 2026, Trump wrote, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will…We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
