Fox News correspondent clarifies Trump’s intentions in Iran, says he’s inclined to blow ‘everything up’ and take ‘the oil’

After announcing two weeks ago that he would temporarily halt operations in Iran following what he called “very good and productive conversations” with Iranian leaders about “a complete and total resolution” of the US’s hostilities in the Middle East, on April 5, 2026, Trump suddenly changed his tone. In a fiery message on Truth Social, he threatened Iran by saying he would bomb everything.
His angry message to Iran and its leaders read: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah…” Since then, there has been a lot of back and forth between Trump and Iranian officials as the whole world holds its breath and waits to see what happens next.
Donald Trump’s narrative around Iran hasn’t changed
On April 5, 2026, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, threatening to take strict actions against Iran if it did not open the Strait of Hormuz. In an enraged state, he threatened to dismantle the country’s critical infrastructure and unleash “hell” on them. Around the same time, Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst appeared on the channel and shared a message conveyed to him by Trump.
Reading the part, Yingst said, “The president tells me, ‘If they don’t make a deal, and fast, I’m considering blowing everything up and taking over the oil.’ The president went on to say, ‘you’re going to see bridges and power plants dropping all over their country.'”
Trump set a deadline for Iran to reach a deal with the United States
Not long after Trump posted on Truth Social, openly threatening to bomb Iran if they didn’t agree to a ceasefire deal, he shared another message stating, “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!” While he didn’t provide any context, he explained what he meant during a press conference on Monday.
Discussing his plans of mass destruction in Iran for Tuesday, Trump said that “every bridge in Iran” will be “decimated by 12 o’clock tomorrow night,” and “every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding and never to be used again.” He emphasized, “I mean complete demolition by 12 o’clock,” adding that the whole process could take place over four hours if the US wanted to. However, he also mentioned that they didn’t want it to happen.
