‘Trying to get her off the hot seat!!’: Trump axes Pam Bondi over Epstein investigation criticism and there’s little she can do

For the last two to three days, there has been significant chatter about Pam Bondi, with multiple sources, including CNN, reporting that internal conversations within the Trump administration are in progress to remove her from her role as U.S. Attorney General. As of this writing, Donald Trump, through Truth Social, has announced that Bondi is indeed being ousted from her position and is ‘transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector,” which has yet to be specified. In his post, Trump also mentions that, until further notice, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will serve as Acting Attorney General.
Donald Trump’s decision to remove Pam Bondi stems from the strong pushback she has faced from Americans, regardless of their political views, over her handling of the controversial Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Many have accused her of withholding key information, lying about details, and generally manipulating the investigation, resulting in little to no justice for the victims of the disgraced financier and sex offender.
Pam Bondi is no longer the Attorney General
As mentioned earlier, for the past few days, there has been some speculation about the instability of Pam Bondi’s position as U.S. Attorney General. People monitoring the case finally got their answer on April 2, 2026, when Donald Trump himself posted on Truth Social, announcing Bondi’s departure.
In the post, he described Pam Bondi as a “Great American Patriot and a loyal friend,” who faithfully served as his Attorney General over the past year. He also stated that she “did a tremendous job” overseeing a massive crackdown in crime across America and noted that, under her leadership, murders had dropped to their lowest level since 1900. He further expressed his “love” for Pam and mentioned her transition to a different role, “to be announced at a date in the near future.”
Thomas Massie claims that Pam Bondi was manipulated regarding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation
Amid news of Pam Bondi’s firing, a video featuring U.S. Representative Thomas Massie from an interview he recorded for the BBC on March 24, 2026, is circulating. In it, he discusses the Jeffrey Epstein files and Pam Bondi’s handling of the case.
In the video, Massie essentially says that when Pam Bondi was initially tasked with handling the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, she took her role seriously. But then, according to Massie, someone “got to” her and pressured her to cover up the case, which is when she lost track of what was happening.
