Could Paradise Get a Season 4? Sterling K. Brown Thinks It’s Possible!

Paradise fans are still reeling after that wild season two finale. Now, Sterling K. Brown might have some good news for them. The actor thanked everyone for supporting the Hulu series on Instagram this week.

It’s been a wild ride with Paradise since it premiered last year. The show joins The Pitt as one of the throwback programs trying to bring back TV’s glory days. Season 2 left things on a massive cliffhanger for the next set of eight episodes. But, series creator Dan Fogelman planned the show to be three seasons in total. This shocked a lot of viewers because they were expecting this train to go on forever. But, maybe there’s some hope for us all yet?

During his recent Instagram video, Brown explained that they were beginning filming on Paradise season three next week. It’s a nice turn around. And, something that The Pitt, Paradise, and others shows looking backwards to the broadcast TV model of the 2000s and early 2010s use now.

Will there be a Paradise Season 4?

However, the question of Season 3 wrapping everything up in a tidy bow lingers. Will X really solve this massive mystery and conspiracy at the heart of Paradise? What role will quantum physics play in the upcoming season? There are so many questions left to answer. Luckily, the series star thinks we might not be done yet.

Brown explained, “Greetings and salutations one and all… Here’s the thing, the last episode of Season 2 is out! 2 down, 1 more to go! Hulu may I ask for more. Who knows if we’ll give you more. But, I know they’re gonna give you three. I know, we’re gonna give you three.”

And, I’ve started reading… Let me tell you something. We start shooting in a week. Just over a week. 9 days, something like that. I’m very excited with what we have to bring you to finish this series. I think it’s the finish? I’m gonna be honest with you. I’m not gonna try to mislead you. Hulu will probably ask for more. Maybe? Who knows… But the way that we’ve got it planned? Right now, we got three bangers. We’re gonna hit you with a hot 8: 8/8/8. 24 episodes. All meat, no fat, you understand what I’m saying?”

“I hope you guys are all caught up. For the people who haven’t caught up, you got 8 episodes waiting for you. Maybe you watched the first 4? You got four episodes waiting for you. When you get to it, is when you get to it, alright? I hope you enjoy it. I think that it was a nice end to Season 2, and a good setup for Season 3, alright? Very, very excited. I’m beyond ecstatic with the way people have responded to the show.”

What are the chances of more after Season 3?

It would be an understatement to say that Paradise has been a social media phenomenon. A lot of folks believe this show fits right into that Lost sized hole in their hearts. Despite the giant fandom for the Hulu original Fogelman has been adamant that this is a three season affair. Things can always change, lord knows they do in this show. But it will be interesting to see it play out when the 3rd season comes out in the early phases of 2027. Fogelman told the Los Angeles Times about his plan for the future.

“There is always pressure. But I try to resist the pressure because I think it’s the right way to tell the story. Sterling [K. Brown] feels similarly. I was very clear from the beginning that I had a three-season plan,” Fogelman asserted. “I don’t imagine a world where I would shift that plan. And, frankly, what we do in Season 3 doesn’t leave room for it.”

Now, that would seem to be definitive on the part of the creator. Having a beginning, middle and end, and sticking to that vision is admirable. But, some of us who watch these TV shows remember how different creators changed their opinion once the success of a show really set in. In a TV landscape that is aching for shows like Paradise, can you really turn down the idea of more seasons? A lot to ponder, just like the challenges Xavier faces heading into season 3.
