Woman flying Delta to the USA confronts man repeatedly visiting bathroom, then gets threatened with no-fly list: ‘they rewarded him for his behavior’

No one wants to have an uncomfortable experience when you’re suspended several thousand feet above the ground in a compact cabin, but unfortunately for TikTok user @jia_yaps, there was no other choice but to accept her fate. On January 28, 2026, Jia uploaded a video to her TikTok recounting the horrors of taking a Delta Airlines flight to the USA that left her feeling extremely agitated. So what really happened?

In short, Jia’s co-passenger alerted the flight authorities, calling her out for her bad behavior, when all she was doing was standing up for herself after he repeatedly disturbed her by making multiple bathroom visits. The same incident almost got her barred from flying with the airline in the future, as they threatened to put her on the no-fly list.

Jia, in her January TikTok video, said she was flying from the Caribbean to the United States via Delta Airlines when she learned she was seated beside a man who had booked two seats for himself: the window and the middle seats. Jia was naturally seated on the aisle seat. She notes that the man put his backpack in the middle seat but was later told by a flight attendant to put it below the seat. She also mentions that as soon as the plane became stable in the air, the man took off his shoes and placed the socks he was wearing (which had holes) in the middle seat, then put his foot against Jia’s armrest.

After this, Jia discusses what actually made her lose her temper with the guy. She mentions that mid-journey, when the man had to use the bathroom, Jia had to remove her headphones and make way for him, then repeat the process when he returned. Jia further notes that the man used the bathroom again after 30 minutes, but this time he didn’t even “bother” to ask her and simply scooted himself out of the space. Then, when he was about to use the bathroom for a third time, Jia suggested that he should have booked the aisle seat. Everything was going fairly smoothly until this point, but when the man wanted to use the bathroom for a fifth time, Jia rolled her eyes and sighed. This caused the guy to explode in anger, leading to a verbal altercation between them. After the incident, the man went “running” to a flight attendant, and they had a conversation, after which he was moved to the back of the plane, where he got an entire row to himself. Horrified, Jia then noticed some “brownish red” streaks on the seat the man had vacated.

Then, after Jia got off the plane, a Delta representative pulled her aside and told her that they had been notified she was “behaving disruptively” on the flight and that she “threatened someone’s life.” She was also told that other passengers confirmed this had happened. Jia tried to clarify her side and prove her innocence by pointing out her co-passenger’s behavior, but was instead threatened with being placed on the no-fly list. When she mentioned the “poop streaks” on her co-passenger’s seat, the representative said she would receive only a warning, which would be noted on her profile and account.

Please contact Delta, not okay!”

Delta Airlines’ no-fly list is no joke

An article published by KIRO 7 News Seattle on September 24, 2021, reports that WSB-TV Atlanta stated Delta has compiled a ‘no-fly’ list of over 1,600 individuals and submitted more than 600 names to the FAA’s Special Emphasis Enforcement Program.

That being said, in case anyone’s wondering what people on the no-fly list in the US cannot do: they are prohibited from flying on commercial flights to and from the U.S., as well as over U.S. territory. According to the FBI, anyone, regardless of citizenship, can be placed on this list. Wealthy individuals on the list have often bypassed restrictions by using private jets, which are not subject to TSA screening, even though they have access to the list.
