Rep. Jamie Raskin says Donald Trump’s name is ‘all over’ the Jeffrey Epstein files

On Monday, members of Congress were permitted by the United States Department of Justice to see unredacted versions of the Jeffrey Epstein files and other associated documents. Many individuals who went through them claimed that they still contained multiple redactions, but still, they were able to see more than the public could.
Despite Donald Trump’s persistent efforts to establish otherwise, it is no secret that he and the disgraced financier and sex offender were once best friends. The same has been reiterated by multiple people who knew them over the years. Therefore, for many, it wasn’t much of a surprise when they learnt that Donald Trump’s name had come up in the Epstein Files. Not once, or twice, but thousands of times.
The New York Times notes that Trump has been referenced more than 38,000 times in the Epstein Files
Following the release of the latest tranche of information in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation by the Department of Justice on January 30, 2026, The New York Times on February 1, 2026, published an article highlighting the number of times United States President Donald Trump’s name appears on them.
According to The New York Times, with the help of a “proprietary search tool”, they were able to identify more than 5,300 files containing approximately 38,000 references to Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, and “other related words and phrases in the latest batch of emails, government files, videos and other records released by the Justice Department.” Additional information released by the Department of Justice in relation to the case last year was found to contain an additional 130 files that referenced Trump.
Representative Jamie Raskin, who saw the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein Files, says Trump’s name can be found “thousands and thousands” of times
As mentioned previously, members of Congress were allowed to see the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein Files and other related findings starting this Monday. While many people have been able to go through a fraction of these documents since then and have also publicly spoken about their experiences, Representative Jamie Raskin’s account is particularly unsettling.
In a video that has gained significant traction online, including platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Raskin can be seen talking about Trump being mentioned “thousands and thousands of times” in the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein documents. The video then momentarily cuts, and Raskin adds that the files he viewed referenced 17, 16, 14, 11,10, and 9-year-olds.
