Don’t miss Brisket Powell in ‘The Running Man’

You can always expect to see a familiar face or two in a Glen Powell movie. Whether it is his parents, his sisters and their families, or his friends, he always tries to bring those close to him to his next project. And The Running Man is no different.

If you look, you can clock his family in the background but the one everyone is looking for (and asking Glen Powell about) is Brisket Powell. And luckily for us all, he does get his shining moment in the new Edgar Wright movie. Brisket Powell, for the unaware, is Glen Powell’s young dog that kind of looks like an adorable Gizmo from Gremlins.

When you’re watching The Running Man, Brisket is a “blink and you’ll miss him” cameo. To be fair, it was my third time watching it when I finally clocked him. Brisket is on the train that Ben Richards (Glen Powell) takes to get to New York at the start of the competition. He’s in disguise and hiding and as he walks to his seat on the train, we get to see someone holding Brisket for two seconds.

So it really is one of those moments where if you’re not looking, you will miss Brisket’s cameo so take this as your warning: Don’t miss him posing and looking like the icon that he is!

Look, Brisket is living his best life, in Powell’s own words. And look, I’ve seen this dog in real life and he is truly a movie star. Well, he was terrified of the 7 women who all descended onto the floor to try to pet him but still, movie star quality.

Go see The Running Man for a lot of reasons but a big one is Brisket Powell’s starring turn. Who doesn’t love this icon?!
