‘They’re burning the files’: Trump in full damage control mode after his name popped up all over Epstein’s newly released emails
In the last few hours, there has been a significant amount of anxiety among Republicans due to the release of some shocking evidence that doesn’t paint a very good picture of their leader in chief, Donald Trump.
A series of email communications made public by House Democrats on Wednesday, involving Jeffrey Epstein (the disgraced financier and sex offender), Ghislaine Maxwell (Epstein’s close associate and sex offender), and Michael Wolff (a journalist), includes several mentions of Donald Trump. This is the same person who has long insisted that his friendship with Epstein was not particularly deep.
While it’s difficult to interpret the context of these emails at this time, given the lack of additional crucial information, if they don’t implicate Trump in Epstein’s crimes, they at least suggest he was aware of them but chose to remain silent for reasons that are unclear.
Soon after the news broke about Donald Trump’s name being mentioned multiple times in the released Epstein emails, CNN reported that Trump allegedly called for an emergency meeting with Pam Bondi, Todd Blanche, Kash Patel, and Lauren Boebert in the Situation Room to discuss the developments. This information has raised many questions among people, leading many to believe that Trump and his associates are trying to do damage control and/or prevent the rest of the truth from coming to light. The topic has been widely discussed on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter). One user wrote:
“They’re burning the files as we speak.”
Another person said:
“This is crazy! Lauren Boebert? lol as if we don’t know exactly what they’re doing. They have a dossier of dirt on her and are flat-out going to strong arm her. Why else would the justice dept and fbi be involved. Typical Trump tactics.”
Several others shared similar thoughts while admitting that they believe Trump was more involved in Epstein’s crimes and life than he might have acknowledged.
