Where to Watch ‘Only Murders in the Building’

Only Murders in the Building premiered on August 31, 2021, and hopped on the true-crime obsession train in the best way. The series follows three strangers, living in an apartment building called the Arconia, who all happen to share a love of true crime podcasts. When a crime—a grisly death—actually does occur in their building, the three band together to solve the mystery. Though the death is ruled a suicide by police, the trio are convinced that the deceased is a homicide victim. As a result, they begin investigating the death and create their own true crime podcast to share their discoveries.

So far, Only Murders in the Building has received fantastic reviews. It currently boasts a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season and will be releasing a second season on June 28, 2022. The series has been praised for its unique premise and top-notch comedic elements. Only Murders in the Building is a funny and clever parody of true crime and podcasting, while also still proving to an be intriguing murder mystery itself. In addition to this, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez offer phenomenal performances as the three true-crime obsessives who bridge the generation gap and become good friends.

Meanwhile, the anticipation for Only Murders in the Building season 2 is exceedingly high. This is because season 1 ended with a plot twist that viewers didn’t see coming. At first, it seems the trio has solved the murder and are free to celebrate their achievements. However, another mysterious death occurs and Mabel (Gomez) is found bending over the dead body and covered in blood. The trio loves a good true crime story, but now they themselves as suspects in a crime. The tables have turned and viewers will be itching to watch season 2 as soon as it premieres.

Where to watch Only Murders in the Building

Unfortunately, they aren’t extensive options for watching Only Murders in the Building. This is because the show is a Hulu original and streams exclusively on the platform. This means you really have to be a Hulu subscriber to watch the show. The only exception is in the UK, where viewers don’t have access to Hulu. In the UK, Only Murders in the Building can be streamed on Disney+ instead.

Fortunately, though, viewers do have multiple options with Hulu. You can choose either an ad-supported monthly subscription of $7 or an ad-free plan for $13. Meanwhile, you can also temporarily watch episodes for free if you sign up for the streamer’s 30-day trial. Right now, the entire first season of Only Murders in the Building is available to stream on the platform. Season 2 will begin releasing one episode per week starting on June 28th.
