Minecraft Beta 1.5 Is Live

Portal 2 what? After a brief hiccup earlier in the update’s rollout, Minecraft creator Notch has announced that Minecraft Beta 1.5 is live, complete with new features, most notably weather, statistics, and achievements. To download the update, simply open the game with a working Internet application; servers will also have to be updated.

Here’s what’s new:

* Weather (rain, snow, thunder)

The detector rail is the same thing, with iron bars substituted for the gold bars.
