For Halloween or Stylish Superheroism, Hot Topic’s Got a Fall Line of DC-Inspired Jackets

Fall is here, and it’s finally getting chilly out, which means you need to make sure you stay warm while performing acts of super-heroism on crisp autumn evenings. Or maybe you just want a low-key, stylish Halloween costume. Either way, Hot Topic’s new line of DC-themed fall jackets will suit your needs.

Each of the straight sizes of these jackets will cost you $79.90, except for the Supergirl hooded jacket, which is only $69.90. Sadly, only two of the jackets come in larger sizes, and they are the Catwoman-inspired hooded jacket and the Supergirl hooded jacket; the plus size versions are $10 extra.

For Halloween purposes, none of these jackets are perfectly screen-accurate, or even close really–they’re all just inspired by their source material. The Catwoman jacket, for example, bears almost no resemblance to the jacket that Selina actually wears on Gotham, other than being black. It could serve as a jacket for a simple cat costume–not necessarily a Catwoman one.

On the other hand, the Green Arrow jacket looks a lot more like the actual costume that it’s intended to represent. Sure, the original Arrow costume doesn’t have sleeves, but you gotta stay warm on Halloween, right? And even if you wore that jacket normally, I think people would probably recognize it as an Arrow-related fashion item, especially if you’ve got the hood on.

As far as casual fashion items go, the White Canary jacket is my favorite of the bunch–and, like all the other jackets here, it’s faux leather rather than the real deal.
