J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy Are LEGO Star Wars Characters Now, and I’m a Bit Jealous

Recommended Videos

The entirely of the Star Wars universe is just absolutely packed with characters, don’t you think? If given the chance to play a LEGO game as one of the folks in The Force Awakens, who would you play as? Rey? Finn? Poe? Kylo Ren, maybe? While I’d personally spend most of my time playing as Rey, I think I’d have to give this J.J. Abrams (yeah, you read that right) character a go for a little bit. Abrams was just revealed as one of the character model unlocks for the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game.

There’s something entirely unreal about watching him with his camera bounding about in the Star Wars universe. Unreal… but somehow… it all kind of works, now doesn’t it? Also, apparently being president at Lucasfilm has its privileges: you can play as Kathleen Kennedy in the game as well. Now that’s pretty cool.

Okay, so maybe some of this excitement stems from just a tiny bit of jealousy. Come on, wouldn’t you want to be in a Star Wars video game? Or, heck, even a Star Wars movie so they could put you into the video game? I know I would. I’d get to hang out with BB-8 and all my cool pals because we’re all best friends obviously and everything.

Anyway. If you want to check out LEGO Abrams, LEGO Kennedy, and the plethora of other characters you can play as, you need wait no more: LEGo Star Wars: The Force Awakens just came out this week.
