Adam West and Burt Ward Just Teased a New Project. The Bright Knight Returns?

Recommended Videos

Adam West and Burt Ward, who played Batman and Robin on the 1960s Batman TV show, just teased a brand new project that they’ve been working on together. The pair appeared on a Q&A panel together at MegaCon recently, and Adam West let slip a tiny announcement: “Well, I have a gag order… However… me and Burt have been working on a new project that’s just gonna knock your socks off, and believe me, it’s our Batman and Robin!”

Clearly, the phrase “gag order” means nothing to the one and only Bright Knight, Adam West! It seems likely that the pair are referring to an animated movie featuring their voices as Batman and Robin, which is a potential project that they’ve teased in the past. Based on West’s quote here, it sounds like the project will feature the 1960s iterations of the characters: “it’s our Batman and Robin,” according to West.

Adam West already has a storied career of voice acting work, often reprising Batman-inspired roles, and even Burt Ward has done some occasional voice acting of late. Ward recently voiced Robin in the Arkham Knight video game (there are multiple voices for Robin in that game, though, so I’m not sure which lines Ward actually did). Obviously, Ward’s voice sounds a little bit lower now than it did during the ’60s TV show, but it’s still undoubtedly him.

If you want to hear what these two sound like, you can watch this (very shaky-camera) clip from the MegaCon Q&A panel that they hosted together:

Are you excited to see the dynamic duo back together again?
