- The most recent issue of Interview magazine celebrates “New Progressives,” or, as the magazine’s cover defines it, “the people leading us forward.” The issue features gamechangers like Amandla Stenberg, Rowan Blanchard, Ethan James Green, Hari Nef, Emmanuel Olunkwa, Tyler Ford, Deray McKesson, Jane Fonda, Chelsea Manning, and Cecile Richards. We interrupt this regularly scheduled Things We Saw Today to give you…a brief reminder regarding commenting on The Mary Sue! You may have noticed that the comment policy information we include at the bottom of each post was updated slightly yesterday. We wanted that text to serve as a reminder that The Mary Sue comment policy prohibits aggressive negative comments about the appearance, intelligence, etc. of all commenters—even those commenters who are breaking our comment policy and will likely be banned in short order.
If you see a comment that clearly violates our policy, please flag it and move on. But please don’t flag someone’s comment just because you disagree with it—that creates a lot of extra work for us as moderators. And if someone specifically asks that you to stop engaging with them, or to otherwise respect their boundaries, please do so without further comment.
