Tombstone Bearing Donald Trump’s Name Mysteriously Appeared in Central Park

In one of the strangest, most chilling demonstrations against Donald Trump’s election campaign, someone placed a tombstone emblazoned with his name and a parody of his campaign slogan (“Made America Hate Again”) in the middle of Central Park. The slab mysteriously appeared overnight, and was captured on social media by plenty of park visitors.

The tombstone’s since been removed, but the pictures posted here are forever. So, too, is the chilling reminder of how people feel about Trump’s campaign. There’s no word yet on who placed the tombstone there. It’s likely that we may never know, either, as this is something that can easily be taken for a threat on the man’s life. Central Park Conservancy, the organization responsible for overseeing maintenance of the park, has yet to comment on the incident.

It’s not hard to imagine that there’s someone, somewhere who saw this thing getting placed. It’s not like you can lug a heavy tombstone around all quick and stealthy-like. Either way, the message here is as clear as clear can be: somebody wants Trump to be done, and possibly in ways a lot more than one. As this circus of an election continues on, it becomes increasingly likely that Trump’s legacy will be one of inciting bigotry and hatred amongst many Americans. It’s a legacy that, given that this tombstone exists, is basically already set in stone.
