House of Cards Trailer Shows Why Frank Underwood Might Be the President We Deserve

Frank Underwood wants to make America great again–one horrifying murder at a time. Kevin Spacey’s House of Cards performance as Frank Underwood is nothing short of chilling. He plays the kind of villain that you find yourself wanting to root for — while despising him at the same time. That’s what makes this quick trailer advertising the show’s upcoming fourth season so effective: it’s quintessential Underwood.

Peppered into this in-universe political ad are quick-cut shots of all of the murders and deaths associated with Underwood’s ruthless rise to the top of the political food chain. Featured heavily towards the end is Underwood’s wife, Claire (Robin Wright), who (spoiler) .
