I was fully prepared to be a powerful combination of bored/bitter about The Huntsman (where’s my K-Stew?), but so far this trailer and yesterday’s teaser actually have me pretty intrigued.
I’m really impressed by the world-building–who knew a character as generic as Ye Olde Blande Huntsman could inspire such interesting mythology?–and I love how assured in their campiness Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Charlize Theron seem to be. Also: archer Jessica Chastain. Even if The Huntsman turns out to be terrible, it will have given the world that gift.
The fantastical world of Snow White and the Huntsman expands to reveal how the fates of The Huntsman Eric and Queen Ravenna are deeply and dangerously intertwined. Chris Hemsworth and Oscar winner Charlize Theron return to their roles in The Huntsman Winter’s War, an epic action-adventure in which they are joined by Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, as well as director Cedric Nicolas-Troyan. Producer Joe Roth (Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland) once again leads the team in a breathtaking new tale nested in the legendary saga.
