Exciting rumor alert! According to an exclusive report from The Wrap, Flight of the Conchords and What We Do in the Shadows director/actor Taika Waititi is reportedly in negotiations to direct Thor: Ragnarok.
Waititi, who recently wrote the script for Disney’s Moana, is also known for his work on Eagle vs. Shark.
Although I’m generally not a fan of the Thor movies, Waititi’s involvement would definitely be a huge draw for me; the projects he’s worked on are all hilarious, improbably sweet, and incredibly original.
Thoughts? What do you think Waititi’s take on the MCU would look like?
