You may know Jen Richards from I Am Cait as one of the trans advisers guiding Caitlyn Jenner through her exploration of trans issues (and less successfully, examination of her privilege). However, Richards is also a talented writer/actress/producer in her own right, and she has co-written (along with writer/actress Laura Zak) what looks like a fantastic digital series called Her Story. You can watch the trailer, which premiered today exclusively on People.com, above!
According to the Her Story website:
Her Story is about two trans women in Los Angeles who have given up on love, when suddenly chance encounters give them hope. Violet is drawn to Allie, a reporter who approaches her for an interview, while career-driven Paige meets James, the first man she’s considered opening up to in years. Will they risk letting what they are stand in the way of being loved for who they are?
Sounds pretty awesome! However, while principal photography ended on Her Story back in May, the production still needs to raise funds for post-production costs, or it might not see the light of day!
