Karen Gillan and Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington Are Going To Be In An HBO Sports Mockumentary Together

With bonus Andy Samberg!

File this under Relevant to our Interests: Amy Pond and Jon Snow are going to play childhood friends in HBO’s 7 Days In Hell. And Amy makes a sex tape with Jake Peralta from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. And Clara from Back to the Future Part III is there. It’s a maaaaadhouse!

At the center of 7 Days In Hell is a rivalry between two tennis stars, played by Harington and Andy Samberg, who go up against one another in a seven-day match at Wimbledon. According to Deadline, Samberg plays the bad boy Aaron Williams, while “Harington’s Charles Poole is channeling Andy Murray, a tennis prodigy and certified truck driver.”

Gillan’s supermodel character Lily, as mentioned, is a friend of Charles’ who also made a sex tape with Aaron. Mary Steenburgen is in the mix as “Charles’ psychotic and controlling mother,” and Will Forte, Fred Armisen, Howie Mandel, newscaster Soledad O’Brien (as herself), Lena Dunham, Michael Sheen, and June Squibb round out the cast. It’s being written by Girls co-executive producer Murray Miller, whose writing credits include King of the Hill and Clone High.

Holy damn. My brain can’t even wrap my head around “Jon Snow doing comedy,” never mind everything else about this movie, which sounds amazing. I love a good mockumentary. Even if it doesn’t live up to my frankly massive expectations, it’s gotta be better than Pompeii.
