17-Year-Old from Michigan Buckles Her Seatbelt at the Last Minute. The Next Thing She Knows, the Car Tumbles: ‘I Don’t Even Know How I Survived That’
He drove so fast, they flew and flipped with the G6.
Talon (@talonted_) told TikTok that when she was seventeen, she tagged along for a party in a white G6. But while the driver was going 100 mph on I-94 in Detroit, Michigan, Talon said the car rolled over and crashed.
“I thought it was a great idea to go with this guy to a party,” Talon shared on TikTok. The driver picked her up, then decided to drive all the way to Detroit to get his friend. Talon recalled, “Mind you, we don’t have seatbelts on.”
When the man got his friend, he started driving down I-94. Talon said, “This kid starts driving at a hundred miles per hour, dipping and dodging, weaving out of traffic.” The car was moving fast, and Talon said she heard the man’s friend put on a seatbelt. She decided to follow suit and secured her seatbelt.
“60 seconds later, he swerves into the off-ramp lane. It’s not even a lane—it’s where people merge into the freeway,” Talon alleged. The man suddenly slammed on the brakes when he almost hit another vehicle. Nevertheless, Talon said he couldn’t take control of the car, like a woman swerving off a cliff because of a deer in the middle of the road.
The man couldn’t stop the car despite hitting the brake. Talon alleged the driver kept steering. With the car out of control, it flipped, and they were suddenly airborne and rolling. She recalled, “I remember curling into a ball, my head between my knees, and I started praying to my grandma.” Talon thought she was going to die at that moment. When the car finally crashed, Talon felt disbelief at surviving the impact. She checked the backseat, and she said the driver’s friend looked bugged. Talon checked on him, and he blinked—she felt relieved knowing he survived.

When she looked at the driver’s seat, Talon alleged that the man fled and left her and his friend behind. She looked for her phone, then alleged that the man took it. Regardless, they had to leave the car, for fear it would explode. Talon told the other man to jump off the sunroof, and she followed right after him.
“We start running down the freeway to get away from this car ’cause I was so scared. I didn’t even look back and see how bad this car accident was,” Talon claimed. After seeing photos of the incident, Talon said the car was compacted and crushed. She commented, “I don’t even know how I survived that.” Talon said civilians pulled over to check up on her and the other man. A woman who pulled over let Talon borrow her phone. Instead of calling emergency services, she called her parents.
“Gary, I just in a car accident,” Talon told her stepdad, who’s a cop. To her, he was emergency services. She’s forgotten how much time had passed, but her parents rushed to her location. Eventually, emergency services came. Talon was placed on a stretcher with a neck brace on and loaded into the back of an ambulance.
When the paramedics told her they needed to cut her shirt, she initially complained since it was her favorite. Talon still didn’t recognize the severity of the accident until she reached the hospital, and the doctor said she had internal bleeding due to the seatbelt.
“They admitted me for a whole week,” Talon said. But the driver was still on the loose, and Talon said her stepdad made it his mission to track him down.

“Months go by, and Gary cannot find this kid for the life of him,” Talon recalled. But the driver allegedly got involved in another incident. This time, the same man got into a shootout with cops, and there was a warrant out for his arrest. Nevertheless, the man was still not caught.
A year after the accident, Talon said she was at a house party with her then-boyfriend. Then, the driver showed up at the party, and Talon felt enraged at the sight of him. Without warning, she called her stepdad to inform him that the driver was in her area. However, he made yet another great escape before Talon’s stepdad could reach him.
