With the added bonus of Superman looking like Superman.

  • Gerald Kirby

    Yup, pretty much.

I’d say what I want but I always get attacked on here for having an opinion (EVEN WHEN ASKED FOR IT).

To be fair, the MoS trailers were pretty incredible too. But that’s what happens when you lift lines from All Star Superman and stack them over the front of Zimmer’s admittedly amazing score.

Too bad Morrison (or Byrne, or Johns, or anyone really) didn’t write MoS, he just was pilfered from by a clueless Goyer. Say what you will about Morrison and his… lets say controversial… narrative style; he get’s Superman and why he’s endured as a character and an icon.

I … I liked the movie. It was fun; it was both upbeat and depressing; and Lois Lane was the best kickass Lois Lane ever. Seriously. More Amy Adams as Lois please, that was great.

Haha, I actually liked MoS. But I never grew up a Superman fan either. I was raised reading Marvel. So it’s not like I have a strong view of Superman that was tarnished. So I can understand those who disliked the movie.

I ignored Man of Steel for a year because of its tepid reception. That was a huge mistake. I watched it a month ago and loved it.

and the best part no one dies while Clark sits around pretending He’s Batman

It lacks the best parts of MoS – Superman by Terrence Malick. There’s no floating in the water with dramatic lighting. There’s no running through tall grass. There’s no Clark in a dirty fisherman’s sweater.

I’m sure some reading will take that as a sign of the trailer’s superiority, I take it as missing probably the best aspects of MoS.

God even listening to that score just puts in a bad and depressed mood, I disliked that movie that much, sorry MoS fans *shrugs*. But yeah I can’t wait for this movie, Will Arnett as Batman…SOLD!

  • Brett W

I loved Man of Steel. And I’m not sorry.

This seems to be a comedy.. which Man of Steel was emphatically not.

(I thought it was decent… certainly better than Superman Returns.)

    Really cool trailer though.
