Sherilyn Fenn is Returning to Twin Peaks

It's too dreamy.

Now, this is news to get excited about: there’s going to be another original cast member from the first iteration of Twin Peaks making a comeback for the revival. Sherilyn Fenn, who originated the role of Audrey Horne during the show’s initial run, will be swapping out her saddle shoes for red heels once more when Twin Peaks premieres on Showtime in 2017.

Of course, Fenn acknowledged the news in typical AH style (cherries and all) via her Twitter account:

She joins her former co-star Kyle Maclachlan, who will be returning as Special Agent Dale Cooper–fans of the show will recall Cooper and Audrey having something of a will-they-won’t-they vibe way back when. According to reports, Fenn will have a “major presence” on the show as Audrey this time around–apparently there was some coordinating involved with her availability since she’ll also have a recurring role on Shameless this season. (It was also just announced that Laura Dern will be joining the cast and is rumored to be playing the part as the unseen-’til-now face of Diane, Cooper’s secretary–but so far, they’re just rumors.)

As of right now, there’s no telling how many episodes we’re going to get–rumor has it that David Lynch doesn’t necessarily want to commit to the nine eps that were originally agreed upon, and will likely try to fit in more to the shooting schedule as time permits. That being said: more Twin Peaks than we anticipated? I’m not complaining.
