I’m a huge fan of Player Piano, the awesome video series produced/directed by Tom Grey with music arranged/performed by the ridiculously talented Sonya Belousova where they do original piano arrangements of music from our favorite geeky TV shows, video games, films, and beyond! Well today, they’ve given us a really special treat with their newest release! Check it out above!

Their newest release is actually their oldest release – the first video they ever did together. Back in the day, Belousova worked her magic and created an original arrangement of the theme to The Walking Dead, and they shot this video featuring guest violinist, Eriko Tsuji. However, getting music rights can be a long, expensive process, so they never had the rights to release the video…until now!

Check out the video above, and check out these cool behind-the-scenes photos below. It must’ve been so fun (if a little creepy) to be on this set!

WalkingDead

The composer of the Walking Dead theme, Bear McCreary, has often said in interviews that he would instruct his musicians to find new ways to play their instruments so that the music could sound like what it would if zombies decided to pick up banjos and started playing. Well, Player Piano has given us a zombie-playing violinist. Dreams do come true.
