Not that you have to drink alcohol, necessarily. I can see myself sipping some Black Cherry Kool-Aid from the White Tree of Gondor flask as I read fanfic on the subway. Like a boss.
Though regarding Game of Thrones I’d recommend alcohol if you’re reading book three, A Storm of Swords, for the first time. Just a heads up.
