[UPDATED] Google’s Giving Away Star Wars-Themed Cardboard VR Goggles–Hurry!

Recommended Videos

Not sure how long this will last, but Google is currently giving away a bunch of The Force Awakens-themed Google Cardboard goggles on their store website. These goggles are made to work with your Android phone to make a cheap set of ad hoc virtual reality goggles.

The current models they have are BB-8, First Order Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, and R2-D2. Unfortunately BB-8 and R2 are already sold out (wahh), but I was just able to order a set of Kylo Ren goggles for the low, low price of free.99. Shipping’s free too, so hurry before these are all gone!

iPhone users: you can still use these babies, it just might not work quite as well. Still, it’s a neat giveaway item. Give ’em a whirl, and if you’re trying to grab one now: may the Force be with you.

UPDATE: It seems they’ve already all been sold out! Sorry! Perhaps demand and interest will result in Google making some more–or perhaps even new ones. Captain Phasma, anyone?
