Witness Dozens of Sci-Fi Movies Edited Together Into the Most Epic Trailer Ever [VIDEO]

ETERNA from Behind The Epic on Vimeo.

Vadzim Khudabets has taken bits from over 50 sci-fi movies—some good (The Dark Knight, Sunshine), some bad (The Last Airbender, Prince of Persia), and a lot in-between—and made the trailer for Eterna, the most epic, apocalyptic, explode-y movie to never exist. Enjoy. I know I did.

This would make a particularly convincing game of ‘Spot The Minority’ for people who don’t understand diversity issues in cinema.

Also, Sam Worthington, I don’t know why you keep getting picked for roles.

    Time to watch this again.

At least they seem to have given up on him. Ditto Taylor Kitsch.

What we’ve failed to realize is that the dearth of epic/superhero/fantasy movies hasn’t just been a money-grab by Hollywood. In truth, it’s been a behind-the-scenes cross-studio effort to create the most mind-blowing movie experience ever imagined. Tickets will be $68.50 (for matinee) and the movie will be 12 hours long.

Also: training videos for the apocalypse.

Oh, yeah, hiring Taylor Kitsch used to be a thing…

I thought Idris Elba canceled the apocalypse!

Oh my god so much explosion. So much teal and orange. So much Nicholas Cage.

Why do I feel like I just uploaded the Intersect? :p

    That’s enough internet for today.

The 50 hour movie directed by Peter Jackson. The extended version will have 60 hours of bonus footage not shown in theaters.

That would be Sunshine. Excellent film, so long as you go in knowing that it turns mildly into a slasher film 3/4 of the way through.

So… is this trailer a subtle critique of action movies being so “go, go, go,” with only cursory character development, gives audiences fatigue?

…cause this six minutes of nothing but sensory overload gave me fatigue.

Almost as great as Ghost Rider
