‘That’s an actual crime’: Baltimore woman eats Yasso mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt. Then she notices something strange—and cuts open the pint
A woman buys a pint of Yasso mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt and sees no chips on the top of the container. She cuts into the center of the pint and can’t believe what she sees.
In a video with over 207,000 views, TikToker Alexatheriennn (@alexatheriennn) calls out Yasso directly, explaining her frustration at the lack of chips on the top of her low-calorie frozen dessert.
“I was like, ‘Hmm, maybe the chocolate chips just didn’t make its way to the top,'” she says. Then, she pulls back the cut pint to show that there are no chips in the middle of the tub either.
She cuts another layer into the pint only to find the same thing, no chocolate chips. She finally locates a singular chocolate chip at the bottom of the mint chocolate chip dessert.
The caption reads, “@Yasso DO BETTER!!!!! NO CHOCOLATE CHIPS IS CRIMINALLLLL.”
Did other Yasso customers find a lack of chocolate chips?
The TikToker isn’t the only disappointed Yasso customer to find that their frozen dessert didn’t have any chocolate chips.
One poster on the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit shows a Yasso mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt with no chips. A commenter says they also received a chip-free dessert bar.
Another customer posts a photo of two coffee chocolate chip bars on Threads. One has chocolate chips and the other doesn’t.
They write, “2 of the 4 bars in my most recent Yasso box didn’t come with [chocolate chips].”
Some commenters on the viral TikTok suggest that other Yasso frozen yogurt toppings may be missing from some batches.
“Wait this is not ridiculous i got the cookies and cream one and I was enraged at the lack of cookies girl it was just cream,” a viewer shares.
Viewers suggest solutions
It appears Yasso makes it right with customers who don’t receive the expected chocolate chips in their frozen desserts. Commenters on the Reddit thread say they received a coupon for a new box of the frozen yogurt treat when they reached out to Yasso to complain.
In the comments of the viral TikTok, viewers tell her to reach out to the number on the box to try to score a coupon herself.
“I emailed halo top bc I had literally one piece of brownie in mine and they sent me two free ice cream coupons go email yasso girl !!” one suggests.
Another says, “Yall have to start calling the numbers on products !!!! They will give you freebies or coupons.”
“Email their customer service and they’ll probably send a coupon for a free product. i emailed them just asking, no complaint, and they sent me one,” a third adds.
However, Yasso may have beat her to it. The official Yasso TikTok account comments, “Oh no! Please DM us so we can make this right. You deserve chocolate chips!”
