If you’ve been reading your history books, A.K.A. the complete canon of Wonder Woman, then you already know that Diana has bested Batman before. She’s also had occasion to go head-to-head with Superman, although usually those two call it a draw; still, in at least one instance (the Elseworlds comic Injustice), the conclusion seemed to be that Wondy could best Supes if she didn’t hold back for the sake of his safety. (She clearly doesn’t fear for Batman’s safety; that guy has it coming, I guess.)

Historically, Batman has considered Superman to be the only superhero who has even a chance at taking down Diana:

Superman’s success on that score seems to fluctuate depending on the situation, though. We can all agree that Batman’s screwed, regardless—and so are a whole lot of other DC heroes, according to this io9 list of characters that Diana has bested in combat, including: Green Lantern, the Flash, Power Girl … the list goes on.

All this has got me thinking about Wonder Woman’s so-called “cameo” in Batman v Superman. We’ve already heard Ben Affleck say “there’s no real winner” at the end of the movie—probably because there are some Justice League movies in the works from DC, so clearly this trio of heroes will have to figure out how to work together rather than fight forever.

That said, it’d be pretty interesting if the conclusion of the film came courtesy of Wonder Woman besting the both of them in the form of an incomparable beat-down. Go on, write that fan-fiction for me in the comments, won’t you?
