Woman's Neighbor Says He's Locked Out of Apartment. Then She Called 911 on Him

While afternoons and evenings are best spent in peace, some neighbors make it impossible. Combat veteran Monica Lynne (@its.monicalynne) went on TikTok to sound the alarm about a neighbor she alleged was trying to get her to open her door. Despite trying to contact 911, she received no reply.

“I’m posting this video because I’m literally trying to call 911 to absolutely no avail,” Lynne said, explaining her situation. Her neighbor, who moved a week ago, allegedly would not stop knocking on her door and ringing her doorbell. Lynne said her neighbor claimed to be locked out of his apartment and was asking for assistance. “But he also has no pants and no shoes, and he’s playing with his [expletive].” She believes that man must be high on an illicit substance.

“He also is not renting this apartment complex,” Lynne said. At first, Lynne didn’t recognize the man. Because the man was allegedly “locked out,” Lynne offered to call emergency services for him. However, when she opened her camera, he covered it, rousing suspicion from the veteran.

Where is 911?

“I’m locked out of my apartment, [expletive]!” The man supposedly shouted at her through the door. She then realized it was her next-door neighbor, and he was not drunk. “No, he’s not drunk. He just has [expletive] issues and an ankle monitor on his [expletive] foot,” Lynne said. She added that the man started asking for help, telling her he had money, but she couldn’t care less.

“Get your [expletive] together then. You’re a grown [expletive] man. Stop ringing my doorbell, stop making it my [expletive] problem,” Lynne told her neighbor. She’s not the only one dealing with doorbell-trigger-happy neighbors. One woman from Georgia said that her neighbor was so insistent about begging for an event contribution that she kept ringing her doorbell even when she was sick.

“I decided to call 911. Did they come? No, it’s been 45 [expletive] minutes since I called 911,” Lynne expressed. She also called back the non-emergency number, but claimed it was to no avail. While the emergency respondents said they would dispatch someone eventually, Lynne cancelled it because it was late at night. Lynne did not want to be awoken unnecessarily by the cops when the situation had blown over at two in the morning.

While her 911 call was not relegated to an AI chatbot, unlike this Georgia man alleged in his experience, Lynne did not receive the help she needed at the time. Nevertheless, she said she was “trying so hard” not to pepper spray her odd neighbor.

In a follow-up video, Lynne said that the situation escalated. As she was trying to call emergency maintenance for the man, he barged into her apartment, grabbed her pine nuts, and started fiddling with the bag. She grabbed the nuts, slammed them on the counter, and sternly warned him not to touch anything in her apartment.

Lynne also threatened the man, saying he “almost got shot” for covering her camera. Then, she locked the door, cornering the intruder in her home. The man panicked when he heard a voice that Lynne assumes echoed from the swimming pool area. He was still high and unsure if there were other people in Lynne’s apartment, so he scrambled without his pants to Lynne’s doorway. He fumbled with the lock, swinging the door open, and ran away.
