Woman hires cleaners for her messy apartment, then allegedly finds her burner on and 2 garbage bags of her belongings: ‘They shopped your apartment.’

O rating

Imagine this: you’re having a difficult month, your home is a mess, and you hire a cleaning service to ease your burden. However, after they finish, you realize things are somehow worse because they have cleaned too much. This happened to Bronxie (@bronxiemthope), who shared in a TikTok video that she found several of her belongings in the trash after returning home from work, following the service providers’ cleaning. That’s not all.

Bronxie added context, saying she had used the company’s services before, which she found on Instagram, but that they send a different set of workers each time. First, she said that as she climbed up the stairs to her apartment, she could smell gas. Then, when she reached her kitchen, she allegedly found the burner turned “all the way on” and emitting gas. “Gave me a terrible headache,” Bronxie said of the smell from the gas.

In the kitchen, Bronxie reported discovering other concerning issues, such as grease-covered silverware. She explained that the dishes were so unclean she had to wash them again. Unfortunately, her troubles didn’t end there. “And I thought it couldn’t get any worse, but then I couldn’t find my purse,” she said. She also mentioned she couldn’t find her white noise machine, the book she was reading, or her reading lamp.

Bronxie also found two garbage bags downstairs and out of curiosity, looked inside. ”The first thing that I found was…this bag, which was clean, hanging on a doorknob in my bedroom,” she explained. She added that they threw away many papers and dirty dishes. Among the discarded items were food items as well, like “a whole stick of organic grass-fed butter, a full box of Wheat Thins, and seltzer mixers.”

She claimed they also threw out gift bags from her closet. Bronxie expressed frustration and implied that the cleaning service’s actions might have been intentionally evil. She said, “Seems really malicious and really bizarre. Like, were you trying to end my life? What were you thinking and why?”

She continued, “Why would you throw out somebody’s purse? Why would you throw out what? I just can’t get over that…Why would you say, ‘Oh, there’s a dirty dish, let me throw it out?'” She mentioned they threw out a Pyrex bowl and a lot of silverware she owned.

“They shopped your apartment”

Toward the end of her video, Bronxie shared screenshots of her text conversations with the company owner, outlining her grievances. In a separate video, she said the owner of Vros Cleaning (the company she hired) offered her the option to pay just 150 for the services, but Bronxie said she was unsatisfied with the proposal.

Update on the worst Cleaning Lady service I’ve ever had in my life. Not only did they leave the gas stove, running not only did they fail to do any basic cleaning and in fact, make things worse bye putting greasy silverware in the drawer and putting away dirty dishes in the cupboard as if they were clean, but they also literally threw out a purse of mine and two Messenger bags they threw out the book I was reading they threw out the reading lamp. They threw out important tax documents. They threw out dirty dishes. They threw out a stick of butter. They threw out a box of wheat thins. There is no rhyme or reason it is just beyond me. I don’t understand how this could be unintentional but then again there’s no logic to it like why would they bother to half acid wash some dishes and just throw some out? When I came home, the fan was running. It was almost like they could smell the gas and didn’t like the smell, but maybe you weren’t smart enough to figure out it was coming from the knob they had just turned? The owner of the Service is saying that she fired these two workers, but it really doesn’t explain much and she keeps acting as if the issue is that they simply didn’t clean enough and then I should’ve scheduled a longer cleaning that is not the issue though. They threw out things that were obviously not garbage and they actively made things worse and they could’ve hurt everyone in this building. #cleantok #cleaninglady #maidservice #bronx #badreview

That said, in the original video, many people shared their opinions in the comments, and some believe the workers tried to take her stuff but failed. One person wrote, “Ohhhh, they shopped your apartment and were coming back for those things” Another said, “Ok hear me out. that was a trash bag of stuff they were planning on stealing but they actually took the bag of trash.”

A few people advised Bronxie to take action much like they did in @chairwomanke’s case. One person commented, “Oh, you better get a refund. I would honestly raise hell, they were robbing you.” Another person remarked, “Girl sue them.”

Bronxie’s experience with Vros Cleaning is part of an ongoing story on her TikTok account.
