Woman says Amazon marked 10 missing items as delivered. Then she finds out what was actually inside the package: ‘what is going on?’

Online shopping problems are usually about delayed deliveries or missing packages. But one Amazon customer says her latest order left her confused after the package marked as delivered contained items she never ordered.
TikTok creator @hertraline says her large Amazon order, which included 10 items worth hundreds of dollars, was marked as delivered. However, when she opened the package, she says she found unrelated products instead of the items she purchased.
She says this was the second time something like this happened to her. After contacting Amazon customer service, she says the experience became frustrating and made her question whether other customers had faced a similar problem.
That’s when she knew something wasn’t right
In her TikTok video, the creator says she placed a large Amazon order that included work supplies, pet products, office items, and a dehumidifier for her bathroom. She says the order included 10 items and was worth a few hundred dollars.
She says she did not specifically request next-day shipping, but Amazon offered it for the order. When the expected delivery day passed without the package arriving, she says the tracking later showed the order as delivered.
The creator says she received a delivery notification along with a photo of a small package. After seeing the image, she says she immediately questioned whether it could belong to her order.
Inside the package, she says she found plastic shelving post hole pieces and multiple small fidget balls instead of the products she had purchased. “I said, there’s no way,” she says in the video while explaining her reaction to seeing the delivery.
The creator says she believes the problem may be connected to orders being marked delivered after missing their expected shipping window. However, she made it clear that her claim is only her suspicion and did not provide evidence that Amazon intentionally sends incorrect packages.
She says she contacted Amazon customer service and eventually reached someone who offered either a refund or a reorder. She chose to have the missing items reordered but says the phone call later became difficult to continue before ending.
She says this was the second time she experienced a similar situation. A previous smaller order also arrived with unrelated items, and she says she had trouble resolving the issue because Amazon’s return process required her to explain that she received fewer items than expected.
The video prompted other shoppers to share their experiences with delayed deliveries and changing arrival dates. “I’ve had shipping dates move literally as soon as I submit the order,” one commenter wrote.
Others focused on their frustrations with Amazon Prime deliveries, with one viewer saying, “My orders NEVER come on the day they say anymore and I pay for prime!!” Some commenters also discussed possible legal action, while others shared their own experiences with customer service and delayed packages.
The creator ended her video by asking whether anyone else had received a package that was marked delivered but contained completely different items. “Has Amazon sent anyone else random garbage so they can mark your package as ‘delivered’?” she asked, saying she wants to know if other customers have experienced the same situation.
The creator’s experience echoes other unusual Amazon delivery stories. In one case, a customer questioned an Amazon delivery confirmation photo after claiming it did not match the package that arrived, while another shopper said they ordered a king-sized mattress but received a toilet instead, highlighting the kinds of fulfillment mix-ups that have left some customers confused.
