Woman’s man boards flight to Miami. She says not on her watch and books the same one: ‘You think I’m gonna let my man fly out of Texas without me?’

Most people enjoy a pleasant surprise. Unless you’re 30,000 feet in the air on a business trip and stumble upon someone unannounced, it can be shell-shocking. That’s what happened to this woman who secretly tagged along on her boyfriend’s flight to Miami. His reaction had viewers raising eyebrows.

Texas woman and tax specialist Lissa (@lissa1198) sets the scene in the text overlay: “When yo [expletive] think he’s catching a flight somewhere, so you book the same.”

For seven seconds, her boyfriend, @Jasjaun, peers across the aisle at her, seemingly confused. Once the content creator flips the camera to herself, her response proves she’s relishing her man’s perplexity, cozied up under a “Bluey” blanket in the window seat, smiling. 

“Goodmorning cause where you going ?” she jokes in the caption, accompanied by a laughing emoji and tagging @Jasjuan.

Viewers Are Rolling Their Eyes

Lissa’s video amassed over 857,000 views, and many were not on board. Several interpreted the boyfriend’s response to her on the flight as a red flag and say they would’ve kicked him to the curb.

“If I have to do all of this, I’d rather be single,” one viewer remarked.

“Atp just leave him,” a second stated.

“Single. Immediately. Ain’t no way,” a third echoed.

Now others demanded an update.

“Sista what’s next?? What hotel we going to?? Call us back,” one commenter pleaded.

“Tell us what happened after yall landed,” another asked.

Why She Booked The Flight

Since viewers demanded, Lissa posted a story time in the hotel room.

“So, he had this trip planned for a little bit,” she said. “First, I was invited, then got uninvited.”

However, the rescinded invitation didn’t stop her from tagging along without @Jasjaun’s knowledge.

“I don’t know what world or relationship they do that in but we’re not doing that here. I invited myself,” she remarked. Prior to the flight, she says they argued about this until she gave in. Little did he know the content creator had a surprise up her sleeve. 

In the midst of @Jasjaun’s excitement, Lissa discreetly picked his brain to collect all the information to refine her plan.

“So, I get to ask him all the questions I need to ask but I got what I needed,” she said, “I ended up booking my flight.”

Unbeknownst to him, she would join him. “Anyways, I’m on the flight, he’s not paying attention. I didn’t know how close our seats were,” she said, “So, I ended up texting him, ‘Look back LMAO.’” 

“That’s why I ended up booking the [same] flight as my man to Miami,” the content creator says.

Is It That Deep?

While doing her makeup, Lissa decided to give a deeper dive into another follow-up clip.

“So, y’all want to know why I was uninvited? He is down here for a business tax seminar,” she explained. “He did not come by himself. It was supposed to be him, his cousin, and his homeboy.”

Since @Jasjaun’s friend would be joining, he decided to exclude her, which sent alarm bells in her mind. “You’re talking about a boys’ trip?” she asked. “What y’all think y’all about to do? What [do you] mean I can’t go?”

“I can do my own thing. Don’t invite me then [uninvite] me. I just want to be in Miami,” Lissa said. “I could go to the pool, give me a drink, and chill.”

In addition, the long distance between Texas and Florida was an even greater incentive for her to book the flight. “You think I’m gonna let my man fly out of Texas without me?” she asked. “What type of partying are you trying to do?”

“That’s the tea,” she said.

So, How Did He Feel About Her Same Flight Surprise?

As she was filming this update, @Jasjaun called her on FaceTime.

“We’re in Miami, turning up another night,” he said, panning over the background to him and his companions standing in front of a pool area surrounded by buildings surrounded by palm trees and boats.

“Are you mad that I came?” she questioned. After a heartbeat of silence, he answered, “I mean I was. I don’t know how you got on the plane but she did it.” 

“So, that’s what he’s doing,” she said.
