Woman Books an Airbnb in New York, Then the Host Lectures Her About Having Guests. Next Thing She Knows, He is Sending Her Flirty Texts

No guests please!

A TikTok user is sharing a story of the time an Airbnb host’s behavior unsettled her. On June 27, 2026, @plitplatpayton uploaded a video in which she mentioned that she had a friend she’d been talking to online for several years and was interested in finally meeting. She says this person, whom she calls Isa, lived in New York, and since she had never been there, she decided to go to Yonkers.

Payton mentioned that the property she booked for her stay was “literally perfect,” especially because it was right down the street from where Isa stayed. She states in her video that Isa picked her up at LaGuardia Airport, and a few of his other friends were there as well, who also went to Payton’s Airbnb after that. She also mentioned that since Isa worked as a mailman, he could only spend a set amount of time with Payton. Therefore, most of the time when he wasn’t available, Isa’s other friends kept her company, although they usually left before it got too late at night. After providing this background, Payton then describes what happened to her while she was staying at the property, which many in the comments section have called “weird.”

TikTok user @plitplatpayton details frightening incident involving Airbnb host

As previously mentioned, TikTok user @plitplatpayton uploaded a video to her account on June 26, 2026, recounting her Airbnb horror story from 2019. She said she was visiting a friend named Isa, who lived just down the street from her Airbnb, and that Isa’s other friends were also hanging out at her place nearly every day.

Payton then mentioned that on the third day, early in the morning, out of nowhere, the Airbnb host showed up at her doorstep, which unsettled her. Anyway, she said she asked him to come in and revealed that he allegedly started moving around the house as if he were searching for things she was doing wrong. Then, after a while, he apparently pulled out his phone and showed Payton footage of one of the guys she was hanging out with arguing with someone over the phone, recorded by the CCTV camera outside the house, which Payton did not know existed.

As Payton explained in her video, the man then tried to deter her from hanging out with these boys, suggesting they were a bad influence on her. He also reportedly asked her questions, including who she was with and where she came from. Payton added that at one point, the man suggested he could act as her tour guide and attend events with her, including Broadway shows and musicals.

She then revealed that the next day she received a text from him saying he was free and could take her to the city if she wanted. Payton recalled telling Isa and all her friends about the incident, and one of them, whom she calls Swoosh (real name redacted), decided to stay at the property to ensure her safety. The following day, Payton said she visited a nearby park with her friends and then received a call from the Airbnb host, who started lecturing her again about having people over at the house.
