Unmanned Antares Rocket Explodes Just After Launch To International Space Station

Writes NASA, “A mishap occurred shortly after liftoff. Orbital has declared a contingency. NASA and Orbital are still determining when a press conference will be held.”

Orbital Sciences, the creators of the rocket for NASA, wrote on twitter it was a “vehicle anomaly.” NPR says it was carrying “5,000 pounds of supplies and experiments” to the ISS.
