Damn. Y’all got some emotions to work out. According to NME, Adele’s “Hello” video peaked at about 1.6 million views per hour. Compare that to The Force Awakens‘ trailer, which peaked at 1.2 million views per hour. Just thinking about all the nostalgia and feels crying, I feel compelled to remind you all to stay hydrated. Also, make sure you’ve got enough tissue. Paper towels don’t do well for wiping tears from your face, let me tell you.

While I feel personally responsible for a huge chunk of those views per hour, most of us at The Mary Sue are very much of the “one and done” school of emotional listening; just one listen of “Hello,” and many of us have been devastated for days. Days, I tell you.

Here’s an accurate recreation of our feelings.
