Texas Man Asks His Sister if ‘She’s Good’, Then She Turns Around and Snaps: ‘B***h, I Am Great, Are You Good?’
Sibling-coded

A TikTok user is doing her best to show only children exactly what having siblings is really like.
@tripletssaga (the triplets) posted a video on TikTok where a man (one of the brothers) is joking around with the sister (the only girl in the group) in a manner that, if you don’t know much about sibling relationships, someone might think things are serious. In the short clip, one of the brothers asks the sister, who is on her phone, if she’s okay. She responds by asking him who he’s talking to, with a surprised look on her face.

In @tripletssaga’s video, after the brother asked the sister if she was good and she asked him the same in return, the brother replied that he was fine. He didn’t stop there; he also told his sister that she was acting like a fool, which caused her to retaliate by asking him, “acting a fool?”
The sister also said she was taking a picture of herself because she thought she was cute, and with an expression that showed she was questioning her brother’s audacity. She then asked him to get cute and take pictures like her as well.
@tripletssaga’s TikTok video, where a brother and sister are having a back-and-forth conversation, has caught the attention of viewers on the platform. As of now, the video has over 22 million views, more than 3 million likes, and thousands of likes, shares, and saves.

How much sibling rivalry is too much sibling rivalry?
According to Harvard Health Publishing, rivalry among siblings is very common and can sometimes even be beneficial. However, the source notes that excessive rivalry can be harmful to those involved, leaving a lasting impact on how they view themselves and potentially disrupting family dynamics.
Harvard Health Publishing highlights that a 2021 study on family dynamics links sibling bullying to reduced competence, lower life satisfaction, and diminished self-esteem in young adults. It also notes that earlier research found that being bullied by a sibling doubled the risk of depression and self-harm in early adulthood. The article also notes that while many do not consider fights and insults between siblings as bullying, it is possible that it can feel that way to a child.
Talking of bullying, this LA woman, discussing it, recalls being weight-shamed by classmates in seventh grade, which deeply impacted her life.
Diane Spear writes that, when it comes to parental involvement in sibling rivalry, the first step is to stay calm. Parents should avoid matching their children’s emotional outbursts or intensity. Instead, they should approach the situation with as much neutrality as possible. They should also model healthy conflict resolution for their children, which is especially important when children witness their parents disagree.
The source also suggests other ways for parents to address sibling fights, including:
- Mediate, but don’t overdo it: When parents intervene in sibling fights, they should do so intentionally and avoid overdoing it. They should guide the children toward resolving conflicts without controlling the situation.
- Look for more teaching moments: If parents notice their kids are becoming angry too frequently, they should focus on helping them, especially with emotional regulation. For example, parents can help children understand their feelings and teach them ways to manage their emotions.
- Take notice of and praise good behavior: When kids (siblings) are getting along well, it is recommended that parents acknowledge and praise this as a form of positive reinforcement.
