Tampa Man Orders a Chicken Wrap From Burger King. What He Allegedly Finds Inside Doesn’t Even Taste Like Food: ‘If I Get Food Poisoning From This’

A man has sworn off Burger King chicken wraps after he claimed to have found something “gummy” and “gooey” in his food. He shared a video showing exactly what he found in his wrap, and some people online have already shared their suspicions that the meat appears to be raw.

The unsatisfied Burger King customer, who goes by the handle “hotrod_the_adliber” on TikTok, claimed that there is something off with the food from the fast food restaurant. He said he went to the fast food joint to get the honey mustard chicken wrap, and straight away he noted that things seemed wrong: “When he gives me the bag, the bag is super heavy, I’m like ‘hey I think this is like, the wrong sandwich.’”

After being assured by the Burger King employee that the order was correct, the man took his food to his car to enjoy his meal. However, after a few bites, he claims he could tell that there was something wrong with his wrap. “So I’m eating the first one, that’s right here, and I’m like pulling,” he says, re-enacting the motion of pulling on something as he bites into the wrap. He claims that the texture of whatever was in the wrap was “gummy and like gooey,” something you wouldn’t want to feel in a chicken wrap.

Hotrod then shows the half-eaten wrap with the alleged offending mystery ingredient: a pinkish, wet-looking piece of what could be meat.

Warnings against Burger King

The man claims his video is a PSA as he warns people not to go to Burger King after his experience. He can also be heard audibly gagging as he shows the strange “meat,” as he claims it’s “not even chicken meat.”

Viewers on TikTok couldn’t agree on what exactly was in the Burger King wrap, although many did agree that they believed, whatever it was, it looked raw. “That’s definitely raw…” wrote one commenter; another theorized that it was “lab grown meat.”

In a second video, he showed the wrap the next day. Using a knife, he split the meat down the middle, showing what most viewers agreed was “definitely raw.”  Numerous viewers advised him to document everything, then “Call [a] lawyer that will work for payment after settlement. Let the attorney take it from there. You’ll get paid.” The advice matches what TikTok denizens told another man who claimed he had found razor blades in his food at a Longhorn Steakhouse.

Hotrod claimed that he believed the food was unsafe: “There’s no way that’s safe to eat,” he said after almost throwing up the wrap he had just eaten. He swore off ever eating chicken from Burger King again, and he warned his viewers to stay away as well: “I’m telling you all right now, do not eat the chicken from Burger King.”
