Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things

Stranger Things to End With Season 5, Season 4 Release Dates Announced

Stranger Things 4 isn’t the end of our story in Hawkins, Indiana, but it is the beginning of it. It was announced that the series will end with Stranger Things 5, as well as giving us some new information about what to expect out of season 4, with new posters and more! Some news great, some news sad, it is a big day for fans of Stranger Things and seeing what the future holds for some of our favorite characters.

One of the things we learned is that series creators the Duffer brothers (Matt and Ross Duffer) released their final plans for wrapping things up. We had an idea of when the show would end, and given what we learned about season 4, it checks out. Originally, the fan theory was that the show would have probably five or six seasons, and with a jam-packed season 4 (that is now being split into two parts, released five weeks apart from each other), that’s pretty much what we’re getting.

Part one of season 4 will drop on May 27, with part two dropping five weeks later on July 1. So, we’re getting the first part of the season 4 earlier than we thought, even if it comes with the knowledge that this is the beginning of the end.

But that’s not all we got. The show also released a series of posters that should have fans putting on their theorizing hats to see what the next season has in store for us.

Thrilling new posters

The posters show a series of characters in different groups. First, we have Jim Hopper (David Harbour) back with some friends to help him escape his imprisonment in Russia.

Then we have some of our favorite friends from Hawkins together, walking down the street towards what looks like the same red glowing sinkhole that Hopper is walking towards. And if we know anything about Mike and Will, we know the two are going to want to see what it is …

Only to be paired with what looks like an older version of Eleven walking down the hallway of the Lab and seeing a reflection of her younger self looking back. The fact that each poster has this red glowing hole makes it seem like everyone will be connected by it in some way or another.

This all comes to a point in the poster that has each scene stitched together, the red glowing thing looking back at them all. Could it be how we get Hopper back to Eleven and how Eleven can stay connected to Mike back in Hawkins? Is this what will bring everyone back together again?

At least we don’t have that long to wait to try to figure out what’s happening to Hawkins, Indiana. Stranger Things 4: Part 1 hits Netflix on May 27th so get all your theories on the table now as to what could happen with Eleven, Mike, Lucas, Max, Will, Dustin, and the crew in Hawkins.
