Hey you! Yes, you! Would you like to be the proud owner of a Weekend Pass for Special Edition: NYC? Thanks to our friends over at ReedPOP, The Mary Sue will be giving away four Weekend Passes so you can check out all your fave creators in person at the NYC Javits Center on June 6th and June 7th.

Description: It’s a very exciting time to be a comic Fan with adaptations being announced left and right, not to mention years in advance. What are we looking forward to? What are we hoping to see? Which costumes made us cringe? All that and more will be discussed!

Speakers: Panels Contributor Ali Colluccio, Entertainment Editor at Polygon Susana Polo, owner of & creator of #BlackComicsMonth MizCaramelVixen, and writer Brenden Fletcher.

Creating Comics: The Real Stories
Date: Sunday, June 7
Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Description: They write and draw imagined stories for a living, but what are their own personal stories? Spend an hour with a Panel of accomplished artists and gifted writers as they discuss the stories and characters they’ve brought to life and how it has impacted their own.

Speakers: Marguerite Bennett, Dylan Meconis, Katie Cook, Kate Leth, Annie Wu and Becky Cloonan. Moderated by Jill Pantozzi.

A full schedule of panels will be going live on the live on the Special Edition:NYC mobile app on Monday, May 18 and live on the website Tuesday, May 19.

The Mary Sue will also have a booth at the show so if you can’t make our panels you can drop by to say hello and bring us lots and lots of coffee!
