‘Smell of panic’: Donald Trump calls Epstein files a ‘hoax’ but ready to release Democrat names to ‘embarrass’ them
Donald Trump had another one of those Epstein “hoax” crash-outs just one day after posting an infuriating Christmas message. You know, the kind where denial, projection, and confession blur into a single all-caps rant.
The DoJ continues to release thousands of Epstein documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, but Trump is now panicking. On Dec. 26, he erupted online to declare the entire thing a “Democrat inspired Hoax” yet again. But the irony is, he simultaneously demanded that the DOJ selectively release Democratic names to “embarrass” them.
If that sounds incoherent, that’s because it is. “Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found,” Trump wrote, before insisting that the DOJ should say “NO MORE.” According to the president, exposing Epstein and his decades-long crime is “wasting time.” But in the same breath, Trump demanded partisan disclosures, saying only Democrats “worked” with Epstein.
He also framed the investigation as a distraction from his preferred obsessions, calling it a “Witch Hunt” instead. Yes, you guessed it right. From the self-declared “TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS.” As one social media user puts it, “This is not how innocent people talk. It’s how panicked people do.”
Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found. DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax. When do they say NO MORE, and work on Election Fraud etc. The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country! The Radical Left doesn’t want people talking about TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS, only a long ago dead Jeffrey Epstein – Just another Witch Hunt!!!
The Epstein Files are a hoax if they expose Trump, but they’re real if they “embarrass” his opponents
Trump’s post manages to contradict itself multiple times. If the Epstein files are a hoax, why are there “1,000,000 more pages”? If releasing them is a waste of time, why does he want to release Democratic names, but not all names? And why is he only panicking after his name has begun appearing in the documents? And it’s in such bad light that the White House had to take over the DoJ’s account to defend him.
The mask slips when Trump says the DOJ is being “forced” to work on the Epstein files and should stop. The Republicans have long been taking credit for declassifying those files. Trump himself signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act to mandate the release of the files in the first place. So the question is, why is he calling it all a hoax again?
A simple answer is that the files are finally coming to bite him in the back. He only wanted to use the documents as a political instrument that obeys him. He thought he could target enemies on command because his opponents are in the files too. But now, the documents have revealed rape and abuse allegations against Trump, and exposed his previously propagated lies.

The flight logs proved that Trump had been on the Epstein plane on multiple occasions. This directly contradicts his long-standing assertion that he’s “never been” on the sex offender’s jet. Now, as more documents go on row for release, his panic is showing. Because if the initial documents have cast such a horrifying light on him, we can only wonder what else those documents could tell.
And then there’s the tell-tale energy of the post itself. Trump isn’t calm or dismissive. He’s spiraling and complaining, demanding control, and yelling about hoaxes while obsessing over details. “I love the smell of panic in the evening,” Adam Kinzinger wrote over the post. And it fits. Because this isn’t the language of a man confident that the facts will clear him.
