To reiterate – No I don’t intend on writing more Discworld novels, or giving anyone else permission to do so. They are sacred to dad.

Terry Pratchett’s daughter, Rhianna Pratchett, officially announced that the upcoming Discworld novel, The Shepherd’s Crown, will be the final installment in the series. She took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying, “I’ll work on adaptations, spin-offs, maybe tie-ins, but the books are sacred to dad. That’s it. Discworld is his legacy. I shall make my own.”
It’s also unlikely there will be a compilation of “unfinished works” by Terry Pratchett, so what we’ve got now is all that there’s going to be. Many fans tweeted their support of the announcement, agreeing that this is something best left undisturbed to be appreciated as it is.
The legacy that he’s left behind is one that’s sure to stand the test of time. As we’ve all been taught time and time again by the man himself, a man is not dead while his name is still spoken. As long as these stories he’s so willingly shared to the world are told, he will live on.
