‘She DID NOT hold back’: Adelita Grijalva torches Mike Johnson moments after he’s sworn in, accusing him of abusing power

Adelita Grijalva has finally been sworn in as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona’s 7th district after more than a seven-week delay.
Following Adelita Grijalva’s swearing-in ceremony on November 12, she took to the podium to deliver her first speech as a House member, thanking everyone, including her family and the Democrats who had been persistent in supporting her throughout the hindrance. After the pleasantries, she shifted focus to the person who had become the main obstacle in her journey: House Speaker and Trump’s puppet, Mike Johnson. Grijalva criticised Johnson for his behaviour during the government shutdown, where he repeatedly refused to swear her in. She also called him out for abusing his power and remarked (while referring to Johnson) that one person should not have such power to “unilaterally obstruct” the swearing-in of “a duly elected member of Congress for political reasons.” She emphasised how her district had suffered due to the delay, stating:
“It has been 50 days since the people of Arizona’s seventh congressional district elected me to represent them. 50 days that over 800,000 arizonans have been left without access to the basic services that every constituent deserves.”
As videos of Adelita Grijalva delivering scathing remarks against Republican individuals, including Mike Johnson, circulated on social media platforms, people engaged in discussions. On X (formerly Twitter), one person wrote:
“She DID NOT hold back!”
Another, echoing Grijalva’s words, said:
“No single person should block the will of the people. Delaying a duly elected member denies millions their basic rights and undermines trust in democracy. Power belongs to the citizens, not to political games.”
In case anyone has forgotten, Adelita Grijalva holds the essential 218th vote required to force a vote for the release of the complete Epstein files. With her being sworn in, it will only be a matter of time before the full truth emerges, unless, of course, the Republicans do something to prevent it, which they will certainly try.
