“San Junipero,” the ’80s style love story in the most recent season of Black Mirror was my favorite episode and the stand-out episode for lots of critics. One of the things that made this episode so fantastic was the soundtrack that was both nostalgic and perfectly scored to Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mackenzie Davis’ love story.

Charlie Brooker has now generously made a Spotify playlist of the songs in “San Junipero,” along with some other great songs that weren’t in episode but fit nonetheless for your next road trip or house party. You can check it out here.

It, of course, begins and ends with the new queer girl anthem Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven Is A Place On Earth.” In an AMA, Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones talked about the song and said:

I can’t recall when it came into the process, but I was running and it came up on a Spotify 1987 playlist I’d put together. And I sort of went “FUCKING HELL THAT’S PERFECT”. But not out loud. And then I couldn’t relax until I KNEW it was cleared.

The 42 great tracks also include appropriate hits like The Smiths’ “Girlfriend In a Coma,” Madonna’s “Open Your Heart,” and “Living in a Box.”
